  • PUBLIC NOTICE

    Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Comment

    The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public comments on the office’s application for grant funding on the Fiscal Year 2008 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program (JAG).

    JAG funds can be used for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for criminal justice.  This type of grant has been received in prior years and has been utilized to provide critical equipment enhancements for many areas of the Sheriff’s Office.

    We welcome your comments on our application for the grant funding.  Please call 407-665-6536, Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 4:00pm with any comments.

  • The Sheriff has approved the qualification of retired law enforcement officers on the Seminole Community College Range by our instructors. The qualification will be the FDLE 40 round course as prescribed by FDLE in order to satisfy the Law Enforcement Officer's Safety Act of 2004 (LEOSA), otherwise known as HB 218.
