East Region

East Region

MISSION

To enhance the quality of life by reducing crime and the fear of crime throughout Seminole County.

The East Region Service Center is located at 1225 E. Broadway Street, Oviedo, FL 32765. The building is an 8,000 square foot facility located just east of Reed Road and west of Lockwood Road. This new facility can better accommodate the needs of the region's deputies, supervisors, probation officers, field service officers, criminal investigators, code enforcement, office staff, citizens on patrol (COP's), and more. Although deputy sheriffs are on duty at all times, our region office is not staffed the same. If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1. If it is a non-emergency, please call 407.665.6650. Otherwise, you may visit us during normal business hours. The East Region Office number is 407.665.1750.

The East Region includes unincorporated Casselberry, Chuluota, Fern Park, Geneva, Maitland, Oviedo, Winter Springs, and Winter Park. Each deputy assigned to this region has a particular area in which their primary assignment is carried out on each shift. The Seminole County Sheriff's Office utilizes Community Policing for the protection of all citizens. Community Policing focuses on crime and social disorder through the delivery of police services that includes aspects of traditional law enforcement as well as prevention, problem solving, community engagement, and partnerships. Community Policing requires law enforcement and citizens to join together as partners in the course of both identifying and effectively addressing these issues.

Community Council

The Community Council provides the opportunity for the Sheriff's Office and the community to meet and discuss a multitude of topics, as they so desire. This may include crimes, problem solving initiatives, and much more. For more information contact Sergeant Brad McDaniel 407.665.1774.

Community Room

The East Region Service Center has a community room which is available for community home owners meetings and other non-profit community events. The community room seats 28 at tables and 40 in chairs. If you are interested in utilizing the community room please call Linda Greene at 407.665.1750.

Code Enforcement

The region also has a code enforcement officer who is permanently assigned to the region. You probably see him driving around the local area, addressing code enforcement issues and educating the public in the same manner. You may contact Justin Westmoreland 407.665.1767 or Donna Wisniewski 407.665.1766.
To learn more about code enforcement or to file a complaint, visit the Sheriff's Office Code Enforcement Section of the website.

House Watch

We provide house watches for citizens who are vacationing or simply have a request for us to do so within a specified time frame. A deputy sheriff will make a daily perimeter check of your home. Contact Linda Greene at the East Region Office.

If you see a deputy driving around your neighborhood, don't be alarmed. He or she is probably conducting routine area patrols and house watches to detect and deter potential crime at all hours of the day and night.

If you are interested in any of our many services and the details surrounding them, please call our office.
