Both offices accommodate patrol deputies, traffic motor units, general assignment investigators, probation officers, field service officers, volunteers, office staff, and supervisors. Unlike our Seminole Neighborhood Policing deputies who are in service 24/7, both offices are staffed Monday through Friday during normal business hours. The Douglas Office has a community room, which is available for community homeowners' association meetings and other events. The community room seats approximately 30 people at tables and 50 in chairs. If you are interested in utilizing the community room, please call Patty Darnell at 407-665-1705.
You can invite the Sheriff's Office to an up-coming event in your community, whether it is a block party, annual picnic, or any activity bringing neighbors together.
The Sheriff's Office may be able to arrange for vehicles, personnel, equipment, and displays to visit your community at no cost to you.
To request the Sheriff's Office participation in your event, please complete the online request form or you may contact the Crime Prevention Section at 407.665.6977. Your inquiry will be answered within two business days. Please be advised that although many communities book their requests months in advance, every effort will be made to fill your request.
If you are going out of town, we will provide, at no cost to you, a house watch, during which a deputy sheriff will make daily perimeter checks of your home. Contact the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at 407.665.6650 prior to your departure.
Community Meetings
The South Region currently attends numerous individual homeowners' association meetings, community meetings, and other assorted community events. This provides the opportunity for the Sheriff's Office and the homeowner associations to exchange information and ideas as they relate to issues within the community.
