Duties

In addition to routine patrolling and traffic control throughout the county, our CoPs assist deputies and Sheriff's Office personnel with numerous activities and events, such as fingerprinting our community's children, providing assistance with multi-agency DUI details, assisting at schools and homeowners. association gatherings, providing escort duties, as well as lending a helping hand with clerical duties in our service centers. They have even been called upon to herd cattle once or twice! The CoPs can always be counted on to help out with annual events such as the Heathrow Art Festival, National Night Out, the Veteran.s Day Parade and the Salvation Army Adopt-a-Kettle Program.
