Youth Academy Application

To submit an application for your child, please complete the form below and press the "SUBMIT" button.

By submitting this application, you understand that the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a limited background check on you and your child as part of the application process for the Youth Academy. The limited background check includes a driver’s license search to verify address, active warrant search, sex offender search, a local records search and your child will be run through the juvenile justice system and skyward for school discipline.

The Sheriff’s Office is hosting two identical deliveries of the Youth Academy this summer, for incoming 8th graders. Please indicate which week you are applying for. We are unable to accept applications for both.

Application Criteria: The Youth Academy is open to youth who will be entering 8th grade in Fall 2019. Applicants must also reside in Seminole County or attend school (or be home schooled) in Seminole County. In order to be accepted, youth may not have a criminal record.

Due to the overwhelming response for this program, if your child has participated in previous years they will not be able to participate again.

Once the selection process is completed, you will be notified about your acceptance in the academy via email.

Please select one of the following weeks to which you would like to apply:
